It may sound gross. You may think it's crazy. But, the banana taco actually works. I'm not just saying this as a lover of bananas either. Though I have been know to eat five or more of the individually wrapped potassium pops in a day. First, a plantain is sliced and fried. Onions are sautéed. Eggs added and scrambled. Throw in a little Tillamook cheddar cheese. Everything goes in a tortilla with hot salsa if you desire. Fold together and enjoy!

Ice Cream for Breakfast, Clam Chowder for Dessert
February 7 was National Ice Cream for Breakfast day! We celebrated in fabulous style for the second year in a row. The Bourbon Pecan Praline is extremely good.
I suppose that technically the Manhattan Clam Chowder wasn't dessert, unless I consider breakfast and lunch as the first two courses. In that case dinner is dessert. Jason made the chowder and I prepared heart shaped buttermilk biscuits to pair with it. Valentine's Day is coming up so I think I little seasonal festivity is in order.

Seahawk Cookies and Breakfast Dinner
Today's cooking activities are fairly self explanatory. This afternoon I baked Seahawks colored M&M and chocolate chip cookies in preparation for the Super Bowl tomorrow. I used peanut butter Ms which disperse a nice peanut butter flavor through the cookie. And for dinner tonight? A little breakfast love. Eggs, bacon and a croissant!

Mulligatawny Soup
Mulligatawny is an Indian soup. Jason made ours with carrot, onion, celery, various spices and coconut. The soup was served with a dollop of yogurt and cilantro. The spice palate reminded me of other Indian dishes we've had recently. I only wish that I'd had a chance to make some fresh naan to go with it. The more Indian cuisine I have, the more I like it. It's just so flavorful, and quite frankly so different from a lot of other tastes, that the change is very refreshing.
The reason I didn't make naan is because I am on day two of my croissant project. Tonight I pounded out a square of butter and folded it into the dough. Once the butter was incased, I rolled out and folded the dough in thirds three times. Tomorrow will be the moment of truth. Hopefully, they'll turn out great.

Pancake Week: Day 2
We can't have pancake week without what is the traditional American view of the pancake. Behold! Buttermilk pancakes with homemade blueberry sauce dusted with powdered sugar.

Sandwich Week! Day 7
Last sandwich of the week is breakfast for dinner. We have provolone cheese,
egg and bacon on a square cream biscuit.
With so many more wonderful sandwiches to explore, I think a "Sandwich Week"
revisited will certainly be in our future. Don't you agree?
